Ryans and Orrs of India

This is about the RYANS OF OOTY in South India, who came from Ireland when John Ryan came out in 1822.
I would like to track down where he came from-Was it Kilkenny or Scarteen? And who were his parents?
He married Rosina WARREN whose mother was Elisabeth BEASELEY from Cornwall. Several of her brothers went to Canada. In the next generation Amelia WILKINS from Madras married his son and their eldest daughter Amy married JAMES PETER ORR of P Orr & Sons. Other connections were HORNE, GROVES, BARTONS, EDWARDS, BARTELS.
