Orr, Daniel, Barnett, Lowrey & Affiliated Families

This family of Orr's came from near Atlanta, Georgia around 1900 or a little later. John William Franklin Orr came to Sand Mountain in Northeast Alabama with a person referred to as "cousin Henry Long." Don't know if he was really a cousin. John went back later to Georgia to get his younger brother Thomas E. Orr. John became a farmer in Crossville, AL. Thomas became a lawyer and businessman in Albertville, AL. At least five generations of Orr's were born from John. I am researching the Orr family as well as Daniel, Barnett, and Lowrey, all who lived on Sand Mountain during the 1930's through the 1990's. I have a lot of information I will be glad to share.It is known that some of the Orr's came from the Carolina's, North and South, and possibly from Virginia.
