John and Susanna (Petra) Sontra immigrated from Hungary about 1888. Children born in Hungary: Frank b 1883, Mary b 1884, and John b 1886. Children born in Minn: Paul b 1891, Andrew b 1893, Steve/Stephen b 1894, and Louis b 1895. Mary married Edward Jedlicka Feb 1904. My mother-in-law is 1 of their 7 children. I understand some of the Sontra's eventually settled in St. Paul. Am interested in any information, including where in Hungary they came from.

Most people in Telekibánya were of the Reformed faith, but there were 200 Roman-catholics too.
From Oct 1895 onwards, civil recording was introduced in Hungary. These records are likely still archived at the City Hall of present day Telkibanya. The Reformed parish there would likely also have the post-1895 records for its own flock.
