Mr. Strimel was born on November 22, 1930 in West Virginia to Anthony William Sr. and Elsie Louise Strimel. Mr. Strimel has lived in the Albuquerque area since 1981, having moved from Chicago, IL. He loved life and had a fighting spirit. He was known for his great sense of humor. His last words spoken were, "I love you!" to his wife of 27 years, Bobbie. He lovingly called Bobbie "his beautiful wife." Mr. Strimel is also survived by his mother, Elsie Strimel, of Deltona, FL; his children, Anthony Strimel III, Bruce Strimel, Michael Strimel, Steven Strimel, Evelyn Strimel, Mark Strimel, all of Chicago, IL, and Marcos Babilonia of East Hampton, MA, Maria Babilonia and Antoinette Strimel, both of Albuquerque; his brother, Robert Strimel of Deltona, FL. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren including Brett, Tyler, Emilio, Marcos, and Brianna who called him "Papa" and to whom he was so close with. He is also survived by two very close friends, Rebecca Seaberg-Barnes and her husband, John. Cremation has taken place. Rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
