Felipe & Sebastian Vasquez Families of Mex./Frio County, Tx

Updated September 30, 2005

I am researching The Sebastian Vasquez (born abt. 1871, Mexico) and Lola or Dolores Witron (born abt. 1877) Family from Derby, Texas. They immigrated to Texas around 1894 from Mexico.

Sebastian and Lola had 2 children, possibly 3. They are Brigida Vasquez and Juan Vasquez. Dolores died between 1902-1908.

Sebastian remarried Angelita Munoz, (born abt. 1882)she immigrated to Texas around 1902 with her parents and sisters.

Sebastian and Angelita had 4 children, Sebastian (born abt. 1910), Soledad (born abt. 1914), Hilaria (born between 1911-1915) and Francisco (born about 1916).

Sebastian's Father, Felipe Vasquez, Sr. (born abt. 1850, Mexico) m. Bernardina Gonsales (born abt. 1860) also from Mexico, immigrated to Texas around 1898. Felipe died after the 1910 Census. Bernardina may have died after the 1920 Census. Felipe and Bernardina had another son, Felipe, Jr.

Felipe Vasquez, Jr. (born about 1877, Mexico) married Petra Mercado Aug. 25, 1906 in Pearsall. Petra was born around 1887 in Texas, died April 8, 1917. Felipe and Petra had one child, Manuela. Manuela married Patricio Bernal. Felipe Jr. may have remarried. I have been unable to find Felipe, Jr. after the 1920 Census.

If you have any information on any of these people please respond. Thanks.
