LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF: I am a retired Nuclear Engineer having spent 38 years with the WWII Manhattan Project. I am currently a parttime teacher of high school science and a genealogy buff. This latter activity began when my mother passed to me the major family heirloom, namely a Jacob Impson Coverlet emblazoned with borders naming the town "Cortland Village" and with the date "1834" and my great great grandmother's name, Henrietta Van Hoesen woven into a corner panel. Once I discovered that Cortland Village was in western New York, my hobby took off and my pedigree has grown to over 12,000.
Names prominent in my tree include: OSBORN (MA-SC-IN-IA-OK), SANDY (Eng-VA-NC-IN-MO-KS-OK), LAY/LEIGH (Eng-CT-NY-MI), FOSDICK (Eng-MA-NY-WI-IA), VAN HOESEN (Den-NY-MI-MO), WERHAN (Ger-IL-IA-TX-OK), WOOD, NOBLE, ALBRO, PIERCE, BROWN and GARRETT.
