| I've been researching our family history since December, 2000. Its been quite a challenge but enlightening and satisfying as well. Most of my family originated in the Southern New England area (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts) though another part of the family lives in the Milwaukee, WI, area through my grandfather's brother. My grandfather emmigrated to this country from a small village 15 km east of Vilnius called Sontaki, Russian Poland, now in Lithuania. Having difficulty tracing my grandmother on my father's side and my great-grandparents on my mother's side. If anyone has any information about them (Sak/Saka, Pietruszka, Kwasniewski, Ostrowski, Mackowiak/Machkowiak/Machowiak) please email me at the above address. |
