I am researching the Wolfe family descended from Peter L. Wolfe of Topeka, Kansas in the 1860s who emigrated from Germany and Holland. Many worked for the ATSF Railroad. I am also interested in William R. Cowan from Rome,Georgia around the time of the Civil War and whose family emigrated from Scotland. I am hoping to trace back from John Thomas Cook to Capt. James Cook, explorer of 18th century. John Thomas also settled in Georgia.
Other family surnames/branches include Hubbard and Bigham from Missouri in late 1800s. Edna Hubbard married Lauren Plummer who traced his family to the infamous Plummer Gang of Kansas.

I am also researching Ostrowski family, now of St. Louis, Missouri and descended from John Ostrowski who emigrated from Pozen, Poland in the late 1890s.
Also looking for information on the family of John Piotrowski and Franz Zitzman who settled in St. Louis, Missouri since late 1880s. Another family member, Henry Neu was originally from Wiesbaden, Germany and emigrated in 1890s to St. Louis, Missouri.
