I am a descendant of Robert Brooke Colonial Governor of Maryland through his son Thomas Brooke. Several generations of eldest sons were named Thomas Brooke. One of these left Maryland for reasons unknown and went to South Carolina. He married Ann Dick of Richmond Co. (Augusta) Georgia July 4, 1786. This Thomas Brooke died October 10, 1790 Barnwell (Winton) County S.C. leaving one son also named
