The "Ouderkerk Family Genealogical Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to researching and compiling data on the descendants of Jan Janse Ouderkerk, who was known as the "smalle kuyper", and lived in the town of Beverwyck (now Albany, N.Y.) as early as 1660.
Many thousands of Jan Janse's descendants live today in the U.S. and Canada. The descendants spell the name in many ways - such as Ouderkirk, Oderkirk, and Odekirk, those being the most frequent spellings of the name. Most individuals, if not all, are members of the original Ouderkerk family in Beverwyck. We invite Queries from any and all researchers who are attempting to compile data on those families.

The official "Ouderkerk Family Genealogy" was published in 1990 and contains information on more than 9,500 related family members. Copies of the Genealogy are still available and we will be glad to receive your inquiries.
