While viewing the Ancestral File I found that you and 5 others have submitted Barnabus Horton's wife as Sarah Hines daughter of Benjamin and Johanna Jennings Hines. I have Barnabus wife as Sarah Wines daughter of Barnabas and Mary Mapes Wines. The following is my reasearch results. Barnabas Wines will made 22 Apr 1708 and proved 1 Oct 1717.... "Sary ye wife of Elieser Luce, Elizabeth y wife of Thomas Hunter, Bathia ye wife of Thomas Terrill and Penelipe ye wife of Providence Rider. In the 1698 census, in the household of Thomas Hunter were listed, along with his own family, a Sarah Horton Widow and Peanellope. Book: Luce on Long Island pub 1979....Elizar Luce removed to Southold ca 1798 m (1) Sarah Wines (Horton), dau of Barnabas Wines and Mary (Benjamin) Mapes and widow of Barnabas Horton. Contents of Sessions Book no 1 1669-1687 Riverhead, Suffolk Co., NY Benjamin Hines will 1687 states his wife Johanna and minor daughter Sarah (note this is one yr after Sarah was md to Barnabas).
