The Russell and Owen Families

First started researching my family, The Russells, and my husband's family, The Owens, and keep expanding as new branches are found. A never-ending endeavor.

Included in the Russell side are surnames Winters, Herr, Shoenfelder, Pennington, and Vorath. My relatives immigrated from England, Denmark, France, and Germany...perhaps other European countries...in the late nineteenth century. Can't seem to go back more than 3-4 generations. Also interested in Rains, Betz and Magnani's.

The Owen family main surnames include Hefner, Leatherwood, Chance, and Walker (Cherokee Indian) to name only a few. The Hefners and Leatherwoods and their kin go back many generations and show lots of geneology interest. Not so with the Owen side.
