In 1817, the Loveless family sold their land in NC and moved to Pike County, Indiana. There he purchased 160 acres of land on 21 Dec. 1819. In 1830 he built the first mill in that part of Madison Township that later became Logan Township.
During their first year in Pike County, IN, their dwelling was a crude structure, a combination of wigwamming and tent. He then purchased 160 acres of land on Dec. 21, 1819. Pike County History: Isaac Newton Loveless Sr. arrived from Rowan county, NC in Pike County, indiana, between 1816-1820. He is listed in the Pike Co., In 1820 Census. His father wa born and reared in England and went to maryland, then a Colony. his father married and moved to rowan county, NC where he reared his family. Isaac N. Loveless Sr. married 1st,it is believed to Catherine in 1791 and 2nd to Susannah Wingler on 26 Feb. 1811 in Rowan co., NC In an article in the Pike Co. Democrat dated March 31, 1899, it states that upon Isaac N. Loveless Senior's arrival in Pike county, they took their first meal with a settler by the name of Henry Brenton. He died in Pike Co., IN Dec. 1847.
