Bill and Elnora Owens Home Page

The OwenOwens name is of Welch Origin. The family has lived in Henrico Co., Va, Smith Co., TN, Sherman Tx, Chickasha OK, Springfield Mo. The Hilton family came from the Cumberland District of Northern England in the early 1600s (John or Andrew) and settled in Maryland colony. They moved to NC and then to western VA where a town is now called HILTONS VA. Most of the rest of the family settled in southwest MO before the civil war.
Elnora Lawson family are ScotchIrish and settled in Seveirville, TN. Anthony is the prominent first name. They later moved to southwest MO. The maternal side of the family was McGuire and Tucker. They settled in northwest NC, around Todd and then migrated all over the country. We are also looking for more informaton on the Beverage, Bledsoe and Alexander families.
