Mizen comes from the `Town` group of names, or topographical.
Mizen is also spelt:- Misson, Mieson, Mison and Mizon.
The area the name comes from is a small town to the north of Nottingham called `Misson`, would you belive???
It is also a small knife, used in Scotland in the 1700`s.
