Massachusetts Families: Owen, McNamara, Quintal, & Machado

Hello! I'm researching the Owen Families of Ontario, Upper New York State, and Massachusetts. I've also researched the Ryan and Skelly Families of Simcoe County, Ontario. Here's a brief summary:

Two Owen families, both descended from John Owen and Mary Hare, left what is now Northern Ireland for Ontario, Canada in the 1850's. They lived in Derby Township, Grey County, Ontario for several years before moving into the Toronto, Ontario area. By 1900, they had moved into upstate New York and, later, Massachusetts.

Family One:
William Bernard Owen (1834-1904) m. Bridget Burns (1829-1900)

Children:
Mary Ann Owen (m. Thomas Todd) b. 1859
John H. Owen (m. Rosa Matilda Ryan) b. 1861
Catherine Owen (m. Wilbert Lee) b. 1863
Helen Owen b. 1865
Sarah Owen b. 1867
William G. Owen (m. Elizabeth Ann Ryan) b. 1869
Edward M. Owen (m. Rosana Poirier) b. 1873

Family Two:
George Owen (b. 1836) m. Martha (b. 1841)

Children:
John R. Owen (b. 1863)
George H. Owen (b. 1864)
Richard W. Owen (b. 1868)
Martha J. Owen (b. 1870)

Two Ryan families settled in the townships of Adjala and Tecumseth in Simcoe County, Ontario in the mid to late 1820's. They had lived in Quebec and Ireland prior to Ontario.

They are:

    These Machado siblings, who left Graciosa during the early years of the twentieth century, reunited in Lowell, Massachusetts for the 1907 wedding of Joseph Machado (seated right). Seated on the left is his twin brother James, who would later move to Contra Costa, California. Manuel Marshall married and moved to Peabody. Laurianna Silva lived for many years on Boston Road in Lowell.

    Mary Cox met and married James Lannon in the early 1860's in Manchester, England. The family later immigrated to Lowell. Mary sat for this photograph in the early 1880's.

    This 1898 wedding photo shows William G. Owen and Elizabeth Ann Ryan. Two years later, they would leave their native Canada and begin their journey southward through New York and into Massachusetts.
