| In the 1800s, many families headed to Texas for one reason or another. Many stopped in other states along the way, creating new sections of the tree to grow in other places. I am researching the families of Petty, Tiner, Casbeer, Kelley, Knight, Hemphill, Sorrell, Morain(e), New, Pearson and Wolf. They are also descended from the families of Dickson, Cox, Hough, Rogers, Dawson, Vann, Stanley, Cox, Campbell, Lawson, Hendricks, Benton and Roberts.Besides Texas there are branches in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Virginia, and others, that will lead back to other countries such as Ireland, Scotland, England, and Germany.I also researched my husband's maternal side of the family, the Kizers. Please feel free to contact me to share/correct/discuss any information I have submitted. Do not take this information as absolute, as many sources were used that have not been verified. I have met many new cousins in my search and welcome the opportunity to meet more. |
