* The Owens - Roser - Fuhrman - Frost Family of Ava, New York*

Updated September 10, 2002

I am looking for information on the Owens Family line.

I have traced back the Owens' Line to Hugh Owens emigrated from Holyhead (Anglesey), Wales, about 1828. He Settled in Utica, New York and then moved to Floyd, New York. His wife was Ann Roberts and they had four sons: Hugh Jr., Robert, Owen, & Henry.
Hugh Jr. moved to Chicago, Ill. & was a Baker. Owen moved to Ava, New York. Henry moved to Vernon, New York. And I have no Info. on Robert...

The Roser Family goes back to Johannes Roser Sr. born in Badenweiler, Germany about 1682. My line comes from Jacob Roser who emigrated from Permasens, Germany before 1852. My Grandfather Ernest Roser, lived in Syracuse, N.Y. and moved to Mohawk Hill, & then to Ava, New York where he Married Laura Rose Fuhrman and ran the General Store..

My Grandfather Grant Harger Owens lived in Ava, N.Y. and Married Estelle Mary Frost, she was from Deansboro New York ..otherwise I have Little information on her Family.
