We have been told that the OXLEY FAMILY at the time of the Doomsday book was at Bushbey, near Wolverhampton, Staffs, in the heart of England. Some later moved to other towns including London and Ripon. Our line of OXLEYS, George and Mary, left Northumberland, New Castle in 1774 for Nova Scotia, Canada. They brought sons John and George with them, son Stephen stayed in England, and later moved as well. Some of their descendants moved to New England. We are hoping to hear from anyone with a OXLEY connection in England, Canada or New England that may have a link to this family. We believe that many of the OXLEY migrations may lead back to the same OXLEY MANOR at Bushbey.
We appreciate your help.CHEERS!
