| Initially, this started as a supplemental project for me to gather information about my Father's family. On my mother's side, one of my first cousins had already completed a lot of research, at least about my maternal grandfather and his family. My Maternal grandmother knew nothing about her mother, so all of that family information is lost to us. On my Father's side, We know little about my father's paternal father and his family. I've not yet found a lot of information about my Father's family. I know that my father's father name was Chester Frank and he had two children, my Uncle Felton and my Dad, Welton with Joanna Denton (Dantan). Soon after my father's birth, my Grandfather and Grandmother broke up. My grandmother then 'married' Horace "Aldease" (spelling) Ardoin. However, upon a search of the archive, it is unlikely that Horace and Joanna were legally married. My grandfather, Chester Frank, died about 1938 in Beaumont, TX. I hope to be able to gather more information. One challenge has to do with the literacy of my early family. Most could not read/write.
