The Paarlberg Family in America

This is a history of the Widew Antje Wagemeester Paarlberg and her descendants. She arrived in America from the Netherlands in 1847. Her husband, Klaas Paarlberg, died and was buried at sea enroute to America. The "Widew Paarlberg" arrived with her seven children. The captain of the ship offered to take her family back to the Netherlands for free. She respectfully declined.
