I am currently researching the ROCKLEY family line. I have traced this line of my family back to Isaac Rockley who was born about 1822 in the village of Wimbotsham in county Norfolk, England. I also know that his father's name was John Rockley, but that is the only detail that I have of him.The second family line that I am researching is PADDICK/PADDOCK. I have traced this line back to my great great grandfather ELI PADDOCK who was believed to have been born in Manchester, England around 1830 give or take a few years. He had two brothers EDWARD & GEORGE PADDOCK and their father's name is believed to have been THOMAS PADDICK. They left England for Newfoundland (Canada) about 1850.
The third family line that I am currently interested is that of the OUGHTON family line. They came from the Kings Lynn, Stanhoe, Docking area of Norfolk, England. My earliest record is the marriage of WILLIAM OUGHTON to RACHAEL GOSS on 25th December 1839. WILLIAM OUGHTON was born on the 5th or 8th September 1816 and his parents were JAMES OUGHTON and MARGARETTA.
The fourth family line that I am interested in is that of the FIELD family line. I have traced them back to my great great grandfather THOMAS FIELD, christened in Hammersmith Middlesex England on 7th March 1822. He had a son JESSE FIELD (my great grandfather, born on 6th October 1866 in Tooting Graveney, Surrey, England. I believe that THOMAS FIELD'S father was also named THOMAS however I do not know anything about him.
The final family line that I am interested in is that of any knowledge of one GEORGE BRAGG OXFORD. He was apparently born around 1800 in Oxfordshire, England. He was sent to Newfoundland I believe in 1824 aboard the "Flora" and landed at Fogo Island, Newfoundland where he was apprenticed as a builder. He was supposedly the disinherited son of an Oxford professor or musician. I do have a list of descendants of George Bragg Oxford.
Any information about the above people or their ancestors would be greatly appreciated.
