Stuffed Meatloaf

 

 

 

Stuffed Meatloaf

 

1/2 lb lean ground beef             1/4 cup chopped onion

1 egg                               1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs            1/4 teaspoon pepper

15 oz can tomato sauce              1/4 teaspoon thyme

4 slices American  or other cheese

 

Combine all ingredients (except Cheese) Put half of the mixture in a loaf pan,

line with cheese and put the rest of the mixture on top.  Bake at 350 degrees

for 30 minutes.  Remove excess fat. Bake 30 minutes longer.

 

Serves 5-6
