I am attempting to research King and Page surmanes. Augustus (Koenig, as he was known in Germany) King married Margaret Sonne while in Germany. They had two sons born in Germany; Charles and Henry or Harry. Augustus was 36, Margaret 31. and the boys 6 and 7 yrs old respectively on the 1850 Ky census. He was a Tanner in Germany. They were on the 1850 U.S. Census. They settled in Kentucky, or W. Va. although I'm unsure which. There is some information that they may have lived in McLean Co. Ky. Augustus and his nephew, Henry Sonne, age 19, stowed away on a ship leaving Germany and arrived at New Orleans possibly 1848 or 49. They were next found in Woodard's Valley Ky. Sonne made his way to Illiones and Augustus sent for his wife and 2sons about one year later. Also trying to find info on a Page family. Carrol Albert Page m. Lydia Wall. They had 2 sons, Oakley b. 1905, died and Edward b. 1910 and still living Their place of residence at the time of their death was McLean Co. Ky. Any info would be appreciated.
I'm a novice at this genealogy stuff absolutely love it. I have some information on King family that I will gladly share to anyone who may be interested. God Bless your efforts. Ann
