My family research has begun with an Irish ancestor, Thomas Milliken, who with his brother immigrated to Pennsylvania in the mid eighteenth century.I was born and raised in America and most of the research for this part of my family tree had been done by my maternal grandmother, Beulah DeLong. I have spent most of my time and effort sorting data and photographs and preparing a book via Family Tree Maker in order to print the book and give copies of it to several members of my family and in order eventually to publish it on-line. I still hope to carry on investigating Thomas Milliken and to trace his Irish family but so far have not given this much time. I want to concentrate on getting the book done and printed off in time for a trip to the states in October. I will bind the books in loose leaf notebooks so they can be added to both directions. The descent of my ancestors goes from Milliken to Prior to DeBord to DeLong and my mother, Eleanor Jane DeLong married Robert Page. I married an Englishman named Howard Clark and we became the Page-Clarks. At some point I would like to carry on with research into the Page side of my family including John Page who was part of Thomas Jefferson's cabinet. So I am carrying on a long term project. We have four grown children and I am sure one of them will be interested in carrying on maintaining the books .
