Peter P. Biesik Jr., age 66, died Monday, November 6, 2006 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 24, 1940 in Rhinelander to Peter P. and Chloe (Paquette) Biesik Sr. He served with the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963. He was employed by Printpack for 35 years. After being together for eleven years, Peter and Gloria Wakely married on June 25, 1994 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wabeno. Peter loved the outdoors and spent his spare time gardening, fishing, swimming, hunting, camping, and traveling. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Peter is survived by his wife, Gloria; his three daughters, Tracy (Denny) Smith, Monica (Shane) Erdelles, and Rhonda (Paul) Jones, all of Rhinelander; his seven grandchildren, Misty Smith, Brianna, Ricky, and Erika Jorgensen, and Heather, Aaron, and Eric Jones; his brother, Donald (Deanna) Biesik of Rhinelander; his sister, Brenda (Charles) Zoltak of Edgewater, Maryland; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Marcus Jones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 12 p.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Parish at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father John Gerritts officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home on Thursday, November 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7 p.m. Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home, 365-4343, is assisting the family. A memorial has been established in Peter's name.
