| We have done very little research ourselves on our Palmer line before 1800, as it seems others have been there before us. However, we have researched the Palmer family of Smith County TN who came to Jefferson County IL about 1850. Before coming to Tennessee, this Palmer family was in Virginia. The parents of Woodson Palmer are reputed to be William Palmer of Prince Edward County VA, and Frances Westbrook, who married in Lunenberg County VA 5 Jan 1781. |
