Notes for William Bennett: William lived to be over 106 years old. Ronnie Richardson ( a descendant) says that when William was about 5 years old (1810) he and his faterh traveled from Ashland City, TN to Nashville for supplies. "he spent the night at the old fort with his aunt Mrs. Bennett." The article ws published in the Ashland City newspaper prior to his death in 1912.
