Notes for Mildred Mae Fulmer:
Mildred graduated Tarentum High School in 1939, then went to Beautician school. She worked in that profession most of her adult life. During WW II, she worked in a munitions factory making the housing for airplane engines.

Notes for Harold Lewis Palm:
Harold quit school in the eight grade, as was common during the Great Depression, to go to work. He was a Gunners Mate on troop transport ships in the US Navy during WW II. During one battle, he was knocked overboard and was not recovered for two days. He never told his family of this experience and seldom said little of the war. After his death, a friend and co-worker told of this experience. This presumably happened in the Mediterranean Sea, as the North Atlantic was his only other area of operation. Even in summer, the ocean would have been to cold for him to have lived that long. He was on one of the ships that was involved with the landing at Anzio in Italy.

He then worked in a monument works prior to his eighteen years at Cyclops Steel operating a roller mill in Titusville, PA. He died before retirement. On the day he died, he and his wife Mildred had taken there fishing boat to Lake Erie to fish for Samon. After launching the boat, Mildred drove the truck to the parking lot. When she returned to the dock, Harold was slumped over in the boat. He survived until they reached Hammot Hospital in Erie, but died of a massive heart attack shortly thereafter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, both of which he inherited from his father. He spent much time in the local country side hunting. Many hours fishing local streams for trout. One trip to main for salmon and several trips to Canada to fish for Norther Pike. He was a quiet man, known for his great patience.
