| The PAMMENT group are obviously Hugenot refugees, originally from France - probably through Belgium or Holland, to the Kent are of SE England. Marriage with ROWBOTTOM & KING & COHN families expanded them to London, Brighton/Hove & Reading and out to Watford, Hemel Hemsptead areas of Hertfordshire - all in England. There APPEARS to be no connections with the PAMMENT groups found in the Cambridge area. Any connections you have with any of mine will be cheerfully shared - both ways I hope!! What a great way to waste many many hours digging up old ancestors (not literally) and having enormous fun at the same time. |
