| My name is John Pandzic. I am a descendant of the “Jurenovci Clan” from Gravsce, Drinovci, BiH (Hercegovina). This is one of four known Clans from this region of the country. The other Clans are as follows: Nikolanovci - Nikola was Killed by the Turks in 1836. He is one of twelve on a plaque in the town of Vitina.... Jozonovci Blaznovci There are many more Pandzic Clans I have not been able to include from the Baltic Region due to inability to connect or communicate with them. This is a living, Breathing document of reseach and will need updating and or correcting daily, please help me keep only the most current, correct data that is possible. I have been researching my family and our ancestors for about 7 years now. This research has been a long and very hard road. A great trip, and very rewarding adventure. I started this trip not realizing how many members of my family we never touched, never see, and never even knew were out there. I have met a lot of people, talked to even more on the phone, and found all of our relatives to be a great deal of wonderful folks. It has brought me even closer to all of them and even more, to my roots. Looking back on many ancestors that we have, searching for that lost link, making us all whom and what we are today! It has been a wonderful journey. I will continue to search my ancestry with help, until and unless there is no possible way to continue. I also have lines of genealogy on the other 3 Clans of this area, these are: Nikolanovci, Jozonovci, and Blazinovci. As we look for our connection(s) here, it is important to note that all of these clans are starting from Bono Pandzic of Kozica, Dalmatia. He came to Drinovci around 1790 to 1800 and with his four sons, started the clans(Bans) of Drinovci. Have a great search, a GREAT LIFE, and don’t forget. “YOU are the most important, and best creation GOD ever made!” …….Bog John M. Pandzic A SPECIAL THANKS TO A FEW PEOPLE: As this material was gathered, my biggest contributors and help came from the following people: First, to David Webb, He was the root cause in my success and breakthrough to finding a large amount of my family roots. Also the root cause in my never ending need to this families genealogy. David, thanks for your large part in my success with your unending helpful contribution. Secondly, and more importantly to my fathers cousin in Zagreb, Croatia, Ivan Pandzic. Without his help in locating information regarding the Pandzic family line, it would have been very difficult to retrieve this information. Most of this information was gathered from the local residents of Drinovci and surrounding villages. He was assisted by Fra Stipe Pandzic and the local church records. I never would have gathered this on my own. HVALA !! I would also like to thank the following people for their contributions to our goal of Pandzic family History: Lotika Benovic(Split, Croatia), Dalibor Benovic(Split , Croatia ) Hrvoje Pandzic(Zagreb, Croatia) Leo Pandzic(Zrenjanin, Province Vojvodina, Republic Serbia), George Tomas(Sault Ste Marie, Canada), Igor Pandzic(Zagreb, Croatia), Ivan Curkovic(Hamilton, Ontario, Canada), Blazenka Jackson(Australia) Branko Pandzic (Pforzheim, Germany) Rosika Pandzic(Germany) Tereza Pandzic (Osijek, RH) Cmiljan Pandzich (Dallas, Texas, USA) Patrice Pandzic (Venice Beach, California, USA) Marsha Pandzic (Los Angeles, California, USA) and many others for their contributions to my research. Thank you all very, very much. |
