In the Matter of the Naturalization of R. Wassman
Be it Remembered, that on this Thirteenth day of August A.D. 1900, being a
day in the 'special' term, A.D. 1900, of said Court, R. Wassman, a native of
Germany an alien, and late a subject of the Emperor of Germany appeared in
said Court and applied to be admitted a citizen of the Untied States of
America, pursuant to the Acts of Congress in relation thereto.And having
then and there been examined in open court and proved by the oaths of J.
Emmduth and J. E. Bush citizens of the United States, his residence within
the Territory of Hawaii for the last five years, and his residence within
the Territory for the last year, and by said witnesses and other
satisfactory proofs that he is entitled to be made a citizen of the United
States, and having on oath then declared, before said Court, that he will
support the Constitution of the United States of America, and that he doth
absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to
every foreign Prince, Potenate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and
particularly to William II Emperor of Germany of whom he has hitherto been a
subject.Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that said R. Wassman be
admitted, and he is hereby adjudged and declared to be A Citizen of the
United States of America.
