| We are researching the PARRY family who emigrated to the US in 1889 from Llanberis, Caernarfonshire, Wales. They settled in Poultney, Vermont and worked in the slate quarries before moving to New York City. Related lines are JONES, ROBERTS and HUGHES from Wales, and BUSH, PRAY, TAYLOR and PARSONS in the US. Also researching the FILKINS family in the US who are descended from the (English) immigrant Col Henry FFILKIN, one of the "Nine Partners" of Dutchess county, New York. Related lines are LIVENGOOD, DOUGLAS(S), STONE, TROWBRIDGE and others. Current priorities are: Parentage of Henry PARRY, b. abt. 1811 in Nefyn, Caernarfonshire, Wales and his wife Anne HUGHES; learning the English origins of Col. Henry FFILKIN.
