Nellie Jane Smith (daughter of Luther Newell SMITH and Rosetta ELLSWORTH) was born Dec 07, 1854 in Fletcher, Vermont, and died Jan 16, 1950 in Sioux City,Iowa. She married Simeon Samuel Parker on 1875 in Iowa, son of John Parker and Margaret J. Parker.

Notes for Nellie Jane Smith:
Born at Fletcher, Vermont 12/7/1854. As a child moved to Minnesota. The family had to leave
because of the Sioux Indian rebillion. They moved to Iowa and lived there for many years. She married Simeon S. Parker and they had 10 children. Her husband and 7 children preceded her in death. They resided at Armour and Lake Andes S.D. Following her husbands death she made her home with her son Ralph S in Weslaco, Texas until her last 5 years when she lived with a daughter Etain in Sioux City Iowa. She died in Sioux City Iowa 1/16/1950. Survived by sons, Ralph S Parker
of Weslaco , Texas, Leonard D. Parker of Red Bluff,Ca and daughter Mrs I. E. Sproul of Sioux City Iowa. A sister Mrs Emma Fox of Marsland,Nebraska. One brother L.G.Smith of Burke. 11 grand children,20 great grand Children and one Great-Great grand Child.
