| I have been working with my Father to find information on the Parrish line. My GGFather was Francis M. Parrish born in Hawkins Co., Tennessee around 1848. His parents were John Parrish and Mary Hance (Hans), they were married in Botetourt Co., VA .Francis M. Parrish married Mahala Huffman in 1873 in Roanoke Co., VA, they lived in Botetourt Co., VA and then moved to Nicholas Co., WVA in time for the 1880 census. After this time Francis Parrish disappears from our records, the rest of the family remains in Nicholas, Greenbrier, and Fayette Counties, WVA.This Parrish line is tied into the Beaver and Flanagan families that moved into the Fayette County region in the early 1800's. We know very little about the Beaver's and only a little bit about the Flanagans. |
