I am doing research on my grandparents, Charlie T. Youmans and Susie Aleph Ruis(Rewis). Charlie was born 24 May 1890 to Thomas Youmans and Margaret Mahalia Boone Reaves. Susie was born 7 April 1896 to William Manning Ruis(Rewis) and Susan Aleph Spivey.
I am looking for information on Susan Aleph Spivey's parents. They are Willis Spivey (first married to Betsy Johnson) and Rachel Levatte.
Information is also needed on William Manning Ruis/Rewis.
Also looking for information on Aulden Daniel Boone born abt. 1809 in North Carolina, possibly Nash County area. Particularly interested in who his parents were. He appears on the 1840 census in Lowndes County Georgia and was married on 30 December 1833 to Matilda Hamilton (believed to be the daughter of Thomas Hamilton of Nash County) in Nash County, North Carolina.
All of these people lived in Lowndes County and Brooks County Georgia from mid 1800's until their deaths. Many of their descendents are still living in the area.
Some of the surnames that I am researching in connection with the Charlie T. Youmans Family: Aydlett, Boone, Burnham, Levatte, Rewis/Ruis, Spivey, Youmans. These families lived in North Carolina and South Carolina in the mid 1700's to mid 1800's prior to settling in Georgia.
Any information would be appreciated. Willing to share any information that I have.
