Charles Miles born 11 November 1760 married Elizabeth Poole, Elizabeth Beall and Mary "Polly" Layton in Montgomery County, Maryland. Elizabeth Poole is the daughter of Basil Poole, Elizabeth Beall is the daughter of Lawson Beall and Mary Layton is the daughter of Asher Layton and Sarah "Sally" Ward. There were 14 children with these three wives.

Allen Miles born 1802 married Mary Lawrence Trail the daughter of Nathan Trail and Hannah Lawrence. This line goes back to William Trail and Elizabeth Northcraft and Edward Lawrence of Prince William County, Virginia and Elizabeth Moorhead.

James R. Miles b 18 December 1844 married Sarah Lucretia Mossburg daughter of Henry Mossburg and Ann Elizabeth Benson. The Mossburgs go back to Johann Henrich Maasberg a Hessian Soldier in the Revolution. The Bensons go back to Captain Thomas Besson born 1616 of James City and Anne Arundel County. My Bensons are connected to Talbotts, Burches, Taylors, and Smallwoods in Prince Georges and Charles County, Maryland.

James Richard Miles born 01 March 1869 married Mary Ella Flynn in Montgomery County Maryland. Mary's father is John b 1825 in Ireland but has alluded me. He came to America during the potato famine. He was in Fairfax Virginia and came to America about 1851.

William Frances Miles b 12 April 1908 married Margaret Blanche Gill, the daughter of Benjamin Berkeley Gill and Betty Milstead. Benjamins parents are William C. Gill born 1849 in Manchester, England and Mary Catherine Blanche Berkeley. Mary's parents are Benjamin Berkeley born 1828 in DC and Martha Drury born 1830. Family lore says the Berkeleys go back to the Lords of Berkeley in England but I am stuck at 1828. Betty Milstead's line goes back to Edward Milstead born 1656 in Kent, England, and lived in Charles County, Maryland and includes Ferguson, Fugitt, Barker, and Ward as maternal lines.

Robert Parker was born 1850 in Honiton, Devon County, England. He married Mary Van Ness about 1882 in Rockland County, New York. Mary was born in New Jersey and her father is Daniel Van Ness b about 1825 in Little Falls, Passaic County, New Jersey.
Robert Parker was the son of Robert Parker b 1792 and Elizabeth Newton. Names associated with this family in Honiton, Devon, England are Symons, Knight, Viney, Bowerman, Bowditch.
