12. JOHN B.⁶ FERGUSON (WILLIAM⁵, DAVID⁴, ROBERT³, GEORGE², JAMES¹) was born 21 May 1779 in Prince Georges County, Maryland, and died 1861 in Washingon, DC. He married (1) ELIZABETH WHITE 15 October 1803 in Montgomery County, Maryland ⁶. She died Bef. 1808. He married (2) SARAH FERGUSON 04 February 1808 in Prince Georges County, Maryland ⁷. She died 18 July 1840 in Washington DC. He married (3) FRANCES UNKNOWN FUGITT 1844 in Washington , DC.

"John Bell Ferguson was the third son of William and Elizabeth Ferguson, born in Bladensburg, Md. may 21st, 1779. He was educated in Maryland and early in life entered the Christian ministry and became one of the founders of the Protestant Methodist Church, his labors being carried on mainly in the city of Washington, DC. Mr Ferguson was a talented man and one of the most exemplary men of his generation. He was appointed Chaplain of the Penitentiary Alms House and occupied this position for several years, and he also served for a time as Commisioner under the city government. The same year that his father went to New York State. He married Elizabeth White, October 8th 1803. She died early in life leaving two sons, Alfred Bell and Thomas Bell, who were twins. Mr Ferguson married, the second time, Sarah Ferguson, a cousin, February 8th, 1808. She died July 18th, 1840, leaving six children, Ann Jane, Elizabeth Ruth, John Wesley, James Reed, William Pierce and Sarah. Rev. John B. Ferguson died in Washington in 1861, in his eighty third year"

In 1822 John was a clerk at the lumber yard and lived at Smallwoods Wharf, Eastern Branch.

In 1825 he was the local deacon at the Ebeneezer Church sometimes called the Navy Yard church. This is from the records of the United Methodist Historical Society.

14. LEVI⁶ FERGUSON (WILLIAM⁵, DAVID⁴, ROBERT³, GEORGE², JAMES¹) was born 1787 in Bladensburg, Prince Georges County, Maryland ¹¹. He married ELIZABETH BARTON, daughter of ASA BARTON. She was born 1792 ¹².

Notes for LEVI FERGUSON:
Levi was the youngest son of William and Elizabeth Fergusons. He was sixten when the family moved to Genesee County. After his fathers death he returned to Maryland with his mother and his older brother David. He settled in the Baltimore area. He lived about fourteen miles from the city. Levi and Ann died and were buried in Dullaney's Valley on the William Peerce farm.
