The Robinson and Wheeler Family TreeUpdated July 3, 2003 |
In 1994 I had an accident at home fracturing my coccyx and the distal end of my sacrum. Over the next five years I spent a lot of time in bed and doing cross-stitch I needed something else that would stimulate my brain. A friend decided she wanted to trace her family roots so in 1999 I accompanied her to our local records office. I was originally just going to help her with her research. Both of us did not know where to start. The staff were extremely helpful and guided us in the right direction. It is whilst I was there that I also decided to trace my family roots back. Since 1999 I have found lots of new cousins thanks to the internet two of whom I went to visit last year, one in Texas, USA and one on who lives on the Gold Coast in Australia. I have also made many new friends two of whom I visited last year. I am researching the surnames ROBINSON, HASLAM, WHEELER, BOX , GIBSON AND DONBAVAND. The Robinson family were originally from London, the Haslams were from Bolton, the Wheelers from Birmingham, the Box's from Ardingly, Sussex, the Gibsons from London and the Donbavands from Warrington. I would like to say a big thank via this web site to my cousin's wife, Lynda Langham, with out whom the Donbavand register would not exist. Lynda contacted me after my orginal E-mail and sent me the Donbavand register as it was then. I felt I needed to repay her so since receiving it I have been filling in gradually all the gaps that were there. I am also researching my husbands family names of GRACE, PARKER, WHITWORTH AND SHARP(E). I am using a separate web page for them. Please look at the related link below for the web site address. |
