THE TULSA WORLD - AUG 1956 RIGHTS TUESDAY FOR CRUMRINE Retired Skiatook Oil Lease Foreman Dies -------------------- SKIATOOK, Aug. 5 - Funeral service for John Sherman Crumrine, 85, retired oil lease foreman, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian church here, of which he was a member. Mr. Crumrine died Saturday night at a Tulsa convalescent home. Born at Portland, Ind., he came to the Skiatook area in 1912 from Missouri. He was active for many years in the oil industry. He had made his home here for some time with a daughter, Mrs. Jenny Lorenz. Mr. Crumrine had been a member of the IOOF lodge 56 years. Survivors include two sons, Frank Crumrine, Indianapolis, Ind., and Vernon Crumrine, Sperry; four other daughters, Mrs. Ellis [Alice] Myers and Mrs. Ruth Gardner, Skiatook; Mrs. Leona Thurman, 1345 E. 6th st., Tulsa, and Mrs. Margaret Chapman, McLean, Tex., 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Interment will be in Ridgelawn cemetery, Collinsville, under direction of the Rogers funeral home, IOOF members will conduct ritualistic graveside services.
