SKIATOOK - Carol Sue Park, sister to Donna Bartlett of Ponca City, died July 18, 1996, in Skiatook. She was 56. The funeral was held July 22, at Skiatook First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Statton officiating. Burial was in Osage Gardens Cemetery at Skiatook under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Carol Sue (Hancock) Park was born Oct. 15, 1939, in Delaware, Okla., the daughter of John Heasley and Josephine (Westover) Hancock. She grew up and attended school in Delaware, graduating from Delaware High School in 1947. She graduated from Draughn Business School in 1958. On Aug. 30, 1958, she was married to Kenneth Y. Park in Delaware and the couple moved to Skiatook in 1968, where they have since lived. Mrs. Park owned and operated Park Place Fashions in Skiatook, Collinsville and Owasso from 1970-1984. She was also a relator with Gordonna Duca. Mrs. Park was a member of the Lakeview Southern Baptist Church, where she was very active in church activities; the PEO AG Chapter of Skiatook; and Epsilon Sigma Alpha. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, of the home; one son, Kenneth Park Jr. ; two daughters, Sue Ann Park of DeSoto, Mo., and Janna Clark of Imperial, Mo.; her mother, Josephine Hancock of Shrewsbury, N.J.; one brother, Norman Hancock of Pottsboro, Texas; two sisters, Laura Campbell of Shrewsbury, N.J., and Donna Bartlett of Ponca City; four grandchildren; her mother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey John Park; her father; and father-in-law.
