The Skiatook Journal October 21, 2009 Geraldine A. Park, 93, of Sperry, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born May 21, 1916 in Poteau, to Dee and Sylvia (Todd) Alderson. She grew up and received her education in Skiatook, graduating in 1934. She had worked for the local telephone exchange. She married A.B. “Hoot” Park Jr. in 1935 and made their home in Sperry where she had lived in the same home since that time. She was a homemaker, was a member of Sperry Christian Church, worked in the Sperry school cafeteria and was a homeroom mother while her children were in school. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Hoot, two brothers, one sister and one grandchild. She is survived by her two sons, Bob Park and wife Patsy of Langley, and Bill Park and wife Hannah of Sperry; one brother, J.D. Alderson of Yuba City, Calif.; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16 at Osage Gardens Cemetery with Jason Yarbrough officiating. Interment followed in Osage Gardens Cemetery. Music for the service was “Amazing Grace.” Funeral services and interment were under the direction of Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
