2. SAMUEL2 YEARGAN (ANDREW1) was born Abt. 1765 in Fluvanna Co., Virginia, and died Bef. 1840 in Franklin Co., GA. He married MARY SPEARMAN Abt. 1790 in Newberry Co., SC. She was born Abt. 1774.

Newberry County, South Carolina Deed Book "E", page 499, dated August 1799. Samuel Yeargain sold to Daniel Reeder for $290 land on Kings Creek, a branch of Enoree River , part of a tract granted to James Cater 23 June, 1774. Witnesses: Bartlett Yeargain, Edward Yeargain, and Amos Reeder.
1800 SC census p. 100, Samuel Yeargan 10010/20010, 2 slvs. Also 1810 and 1820 SC census. Not in 1830 census.
1810 Greenville District, SC, deed book 1 (i) p. 333, Samuel Yeargin to John Evans $100 50A of land lying on the Reedy Fork of Reedy river, beg. on a post oak cor. Abraham Cox line thence running through the sd land along a conditional line to a stake cor. on Jacob Black's line, thence W to a maple stump, thence S 20W 22, 50 to a post oak, thence 70E to the brg. to include 50A of land more or less granted Alexander Waddell 5 Mar 1804.

February 7, 1816 obtained 220A in Franklin Co. Ga and another deed August 6, 1816.
1819 Franklin Co. Ga tax list has two Samuels, probably Samuel and his son Samuel Jr.
In the 1820 Georgia Land Lottery, Samuel and his sons Andrew and John B. won land in Appling Co. Ga. Samuel and Andrew listed in the 1820 Franklin Co., Captain Kelton's District, GA census.
Probably farmed land in Franklin Co. and later moved there about 1820-1830.
