Asa Park Homestead in Wagersville, KY

Asa Park Homestead in Wagersville, KY
This is a June 2000 picture of the homestead belonging to my 5th Great Grandfather, Ebenezer Park's (1747-1839) son, Asa Park--a renowned artist of his time. Oil was struck on this Estill County land. Asa, his wife, Susanna and daughter, Rebbeca are buried on the first 100 acres of this once 1,000 acre tract located near Middle Fork of Station Camp Creek near where Eb, Sr. and Tabitha Mills lived for over 20 years until they moved in with their son, Eli Park in Eastern Madison County near Drowning Creek. My cousin and good friend, Kay Philpot, is a descendant of Asa. This picture is dedicated to Kay and her family with love and prayers.
