I believe the older woman to be my 4th Great Grandmother, Edith Oldham (1773-1836), wife of Hon. Jesse Cobb, Sr.(1769-1836). Jesse and Edith died 3 weeks apart, 2 and 23 June respectively. I don't know what the cause of death is though suspect that Jesse died from sickness based on his will and that Edith quite possibly died from ths shock of his death and "heartbreak". This picture was provided by Roger Deane of Atlanta, GA, a desc. of Eli Park. Edith was the mother-in-law to Mary "Minerva" Park, my maternal 3rd Great Grandmother whose picture is also on this page. The family relationships that exist by virtue of Minerva "Mary" Park's marriage to Edith Oldham Cobb's son, would be a likely reason as to why Roger Deane's Family has possession of these wonderful pictures! Jesse and Edith came to Estill County, KY in 1795 from Caswell County, North Carolina.
