He married Elsie May Nevitt on 16 Jun 1945 in St Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, New Hope, Nelson, Kentucky, daughter of Charles Halicy (Halsey) Nevitt and Anna Cora Cissell.

Notes for Joseph Earl Miles:
Pop, I, and all of the family, except his children called him Pop, was cremated and his ashes buried in the St Vincent De Paul church cemetery.
