He participated in the following skirmishes:Pacelot, Cane Creek in Burke County North Carolina and the Battle of Kings Mountain.Sources for this information were cited at the Banker Families of Burke County North Carolina web site as: "Revolutionary War Soldiers of Western North Carolina" by Dr. Emmitt R. White and Abstracts of Rev. War Pension Files and Bartow County Georgia Heritage Book Vol. 1. His leg was injured at the Battle of King's Mountain and he was also wounded at the Battle of Cowpens, South Carolina.When the war ended, he was serving as a light horseman under Captain Russell and was at Wofford's Fort on the Catawba River.After the war, he moved to Pendleton District, South Carolina, Habersham County Georgia, and Cass County, Georgia.
