Notes for Arvella Teasdale: Arvella was born in Canada in 1856 or 1857, and died in Chicago on January 16, 1937 at the age of 80.
Her mother was a descendant of a Canadian Indian from the Blackfoot Tribe. Her father was killed while on a stock-buying trip in Western Canada. He carried a large amount of cash ($500 at the time), and was hit on the head by robbers, the money was taken and he was left for dead. His death left Arvella an orphan. She spoke about living with a French family on a farm.
Arvella married Beneau (first name unknown) and they had two sons. Beneau was plowing a field when he had an attack, and died of a perforated ulcer. His two sons were just babies at the time.
