I am seeking information about the Job Pearce/Pierce descendants who settled in Indiana County, PA in pre-revolutionary times. The first JOB was born about 1752, lived in Plumville, PA area at sometime in his life, perhaps was born there, and the family continued to farm there through the following generations. The families were large, and the brothers all named their sons for biblical characters, being staunch Presbyterians. Many of the sons used the same names for their offspring, which complicates matters somewhat. |
