The daughter of Isham Stowe, Civil War Casualty and wife of John Marion Crisp. Reared in northeast Georgia, she and John Marion Crisp began their family in southwestern North Carolina before returning to the Toccoa, Georgia area. She is the mother of Rene Crisp, wife of William Andrew Pointer.
